Anointing of the Sick
St. Philip's offers scheduled Anointing of the Sick during the 9 AM Mass on the first Friday of every month, and also at any weekend Mass on request (speak to the receptionist in the Narthex before Mass for assistance). If your illness prevents you from coming to the church, contact the Parish Office at 972-436-9581 to request a visit from a priest. After hours and on weekends, call 972-709-2364.
Visits to the Sick and Homebound
If you or a family member is in or scheduled to be in the hospital, please contact the Parish Office at 972-436-9581 to request a visit from a priest. In addition, our volunteers visit local nursing facilities, private homes, and hospitals on a regular basis, bringing prayer, Scripture, and Holy Communion. Please contact Social Outreach at 972-353-5756 to be added to the list.
Cancer Prayer Group
If you have been diagnosed with cancer, please let us know so that we can add you to the list for our Cancer Prayer Group. Our group meets every Monday in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 9 AM to prayer for all those afflicted with cancer.
Friendly Visitors
If you are feeling lonely or isolated, the Friendly Visitors program helps by providing social interaction and fellowship among parishioners. Volunteers are always sent out in pairs. Contact Social Outreach Coordinator at [email protected] or 972-353-5756 to request Friendly Visitors.
Confession
Scheduled Confessions are available on Wednesdays from 4:30-6 PM and on Saturdays from 2:30-3:15 PM. If it's been a while since your last Confession, or you're not sure what to do, contact the Parish Office for a private appointment at 972-436-9581.
Spiritual Direction
To request spiritual direction from one of the priests, please contact the Parish Office at 972-436-9581 to request an appointment.
Annulments
All Catholics have a right to the determination of the validity of a previous marriage through the annulment process. Contact Jackie Jones, Tribunal Advocate, at [email protected] or 972-219-7280 to learn more.
Natural Family Planning (NFP)
Natural Family Planning is a method learned by both husband and wife, which educates them in becoming aware of the body's physical indicators of fertility. Natural Family Planning is also the only form of family planning that is in accordance with the Catholic Church's teaching. Please feel free to contact Ashley or Walter to learn more or to schedule an NFP class:
